M1 – First Light with 16803 CCD

Apogee Alta U16M 4kx4k CCD operating at 47% power at -30C. The ambient temperature was 35C.  Short, first light image with the 2/3 moon up.  Astrodon 6nm FWHM H-a 50mm filter in FLI CFW7 guided by Yankee Robotics Nugget CMOS guider in Astrodon MOAG off-axis-guider.  Seeing was ~2".  Processed with darks in CCDStack and Photoshop CS2.  The image has been reduced 60% for file size, but is uncropped.  Thus, the 2" nose piece on the CFW7 and the 50 mm filters do not hard block the corners of this 36x36 mm CCD which covers 3/4 degress square of the sky on the 12.5" RCOS truss RC. The unbinned 32MB filtes download in 17s.  The camera has 7e- read noise.
